What distinguishes Tuareg Luxury Camp from standard camps?

While standard camps often feature shared facilities and basic tents, our sanctuary in Erg Chebbi offers a boutique hotel experience. Every private suite features permanent flooring, king-sized beds with high-thread-count linens, and private en-suite bathrooms with pressurized hot showers and organic toiletries.

Is there a weight limit for camel trekking in the dunes?

To ensure the welfare of our camels, we suggest a weight limit of 100kg (220 lbs) per guest. If you prefer not to ride, or if you exceed this limit, we provide a complimentary 4×4 transfer directly to the camp so you never miss a sunset.

How do we manage communication and connectivity?

We believe in “disconnecting to reconnect.” Our camp is a sanctuary away from digital noise; therefore, we do not provide WiFi. Most Moroccan SIM cards (Maroc Telecom) have 4G signal on the higher dunes for emergencies. For urgent reservation needs, our team is available via +212 632 330 508.

Can I bring a drone to film the Merzouga dunes?

Warning: Flying drones in Morocco without a professional filming permit is strictly illegal. Drones are frequently confiscated by customs at Marrakech or Casablanca airports. We strongly advise against bringing one unless you have secured official government authorization.

What is the tipping (Gratuities) etiquette?

Tipping is a gesture of “Baraka” (blessing) in our culture. For private drivers, we suggest €10-€20 per day per group. For the collective camp staff, a tip of €10-€20 at the end of your stay is greatly appreciated by the nomadic team.
