Day 1: Arrival in Errachidia – Merzouga Dunes

The Gateway Migration
Your expedition begins with a private pick-up at the Moulay Ali Cherif Airport (ERH) or your Errachidia accommodation. We have designed this day with total flexibility to match flight arrivals from Casablanca or Marrakech. You will drive south toward the Saharan horizon, where the red earth eventually gives way to the golden peaks of Merzouga. Spend your first evening settling into the desert pace with a refined stay at the edge of the dunes, preparing for the nomadic immersion ahead.

Day 2: Deep Desert Exploration – Nomads & Khamlia

The Nomadic Wisdom
After an artisanal breakfast, the day is dedicated to the secrets of Erg Chebbi. You will head off-road in your private 4×4 to visit an ancient eyeliner (kohl) mine and meet a nomadic family in their handmade woven tent to learn the art of Saharan survival over Berber tea. The journey continues to Khamlia, where the descendants of sub-Saharan tribes perform the hypnotic Gnaoua music. After a stroll through the Merzouga palm groves, you will switch to camels for a sunset trek into the heart of the sands, ending with a gourmet dinner and a night in a Luxury Desert Camp.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

The Trading Hub & The Canyon
Wake in the pre-dawn stillness for a meditative Saharan sunrise. After breakfast, you depart for Rissani, the ancient capital of the Tafilalet, to explore its vibrant and authentic souk. The journey continues to Erfoud to witness the craft of fossilized marble before reaching the Todra Gorges. Here, you will walk along the riverbed beneath 300-meter limestone cliffs. The day concludes in the Dades Valley, stopping to marvel at the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations before a night of mountain hospitality.

Day 4: Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

The Cinematic Finale
Your final day traces the Valley of the Roses toward Kalaa Magouna and the lush Skoura Oasis. You will reach Ouarzazate to see the film studios where masterpieces like Gladiator were born, followed by an exploration of the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The journey culminates with a spectacular crossing of the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. You arrive in Marrakech by early evening, marking the end of your 4-day trans-Atlas odyssey.
